My God are we STILL on this!?

I forgot what year this is. Is it 2010 or not? Now, I consider myself as Black, though I see myself, down my lineage as being a million different things. I will /not/ call myself African American. Indians (from India) have dark skin, but who is calling them of African Descent? You can get dark skin from anywhere.

Now, Jamaica is a diverse country. Jamaicans are proud to be JAMAICAN, that should be enough for YOU. Don't worry about the hell they call themselves! This is a very ignorant comment to say that Jamaicans (on top of others) should CALL THEMSELVES BLACK. They are JAMAICAN. Whether you like it or not, we have developed our own cultures. I am AMERICAN, I grew up in this American culture, and will call myself American, and then Black. Jamaicans (who have dark skin) I am sure, have no problem admitting second that they are Black, but they are PROUD OF THEIR CULTURE, and Jamaicans, and Hispanics love their culture just like someone from Africa LOVES THEIR CULTURE. Africa is not only a continent but a CULTURE, it is not always about race. Your CULTURE is what makes you you, and not just your skin color. We need to get beyond this stupid skin debate because it is holding everyone back. Pointing fingers and calling people names. It should be a nonissue right now. And to mention, who defines what is Black? You? Well many other people have something different. Just because you stewed up your little definition of what Black is, doesn't mean everyone has to follow it. We all have our own definitions of WHAT WE ARE. And in your little world, there may be only three ethnicities, but to most of the world, there's millions. There's little tribes in Africa who call themselves as such. Tribes in Asia who call themselves as such. I can prove you wrong all day just using my own definition. It is very annoying and pointless. End of discussion.

Woo *fans self* Theese Ethnic discussions are not for me.

Is a 25 year age difference okay?

A 17 year old girl and a 42 year old married man.

^ That's where they started (click the link). First of all, you NEVER get into a relationship with a married man, think about how you would feel if you found out that the man you believed you loved and trusted was messing around with a girl WAY younger than you were? Exactly, you wouldn't be too damn skippy about it. So if you're dating this man for his maturity, then let him be mature about the situation before you go off and screw him! The man also had 2 children, and I can't imagine they would be too happy, but who would when their father leaves for another bimbo? I mean he did divorce his wife, and then marry the 17 y/o a few years later.

Now, I love older men, in general they are more mature, and I can agree with the woman in the article on that. But ten years is my maximum. Any woman can be happy with a man that will treat her like a Goddess. On top of that, a man who can be a father figure. It's different when you're say 30, and wise enough yourself, and dating a man in his 60s, but being 17 you are no where near wise. I do considered myself, at the ripe age of 20, to be mature, but nowhere near done growing and learning things.

Men in their 20s are normally not mature, and in that regard, I would be okay with my daughter dating an older man, BUT not extremely older. It's possible to find a guy a few years older who can be mature about a relationship, but simply put most men in their 20s run on sex, and could care less about getting married, so no, my 17 year old daughter can not date a man in his 30s+, but I would allow her to find one a bit older who is mature...if she's anything like me anyways. ^^ Well I guess that's all because I lost my train of thought with True Life lol.

Wife Swap..Again

I don't normally watch this show. I prefer to watch cartoons. Yes at 20 years old, I still love cartoons lol. But back to Wife Swap. I am not normally one sided, but the Dusseau family are very close minded and based on looks. The world does not revolve on prissing yourself up every day. The husband does not like fat chicks, which is fine, we all have our standards, but rest assured he probably threatened his wife to lose the baby weight. He thinks it's the woman's job to clean and his kids have this false sense of: If you're not number one then you're nothing. You should be number one to yourself! Not what everyone else thinks of you. I'm just very disappointed that there are people out there like this. Oh! And he said he has only seen his wife without makeup ONCE. And she goes to bed with makeup on! Seriously!!?? He said: If you saw her without makeup you'd know why. I agree I have never seen a pretty girl who wears makeup the majority of the time, so why would you want that? I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting, but someone has to take me as I was born, and I was not born with makeup on. I put it on when I want to but I'm not gonna wake up super early to put that crap on. Gotta be kidding me!

Interracial Dating: Not Happening For The Black Women

Maybe where you are, black women are free and maybe even encouraged to date outside of their race. Since I have made the decision to pursue what I really want I have been more frustrated than ever! I thought it would be easy because I see all the black men who are with white women, or other races, but as I searched around many white men were not responding to any attempts I made. So wait for them to come to you? Nope, can't do that either because they're either too shy, or more narrow-minded at dating outside their race. Or it's a preference, but I find it funny that more white women are more attracted to men outside of their race and not the white men. So is it a preference or have they just been told as a child that that will not fly in this household so don't you dare even date a black girl?

Regardless of what the white men are thinking it is very CLEAR that black men have this opportunity to date what they are attracted to with incredible speed, while black women may have to wait months upon years until they find another man who is TRULY attracted to you and not trying to be the one to say "I fucked a black girl dude!"

As I keep with my honesty, and not caring what people may think, I will say that I have many times wished I were another race. I wished my hair were easier to comb through in the morning, and like the world told me, the pale skin, pretty eyes, and blonde hair is what's pretty. But alas I must love my skin because it is ME and if I don't love ME, who can love me?

I sit here and hope that one day some man will help me change my mind that my journey is not hopeless. And that one day I can feel what it's like to be IN love. If it never happens, at least I can die knowing I tried.
