Tyra Banks Show: Teen Marriage

Woo, where to begin. Well I am currently watching The Tyra Banks Show, and that is my girl. On T.V. anyway, our age difference would be quite unsettling if we were actually friends, lol. Anywho, I will be adding things as I go on and watch the show when a break comes on. The first break just started so I will try to get in all my information as quick as possible.

So the first girl just came on, she is 15 years old, and is engaged to an 18 year old. She is taking fertility drugs to get pregnant. Sweety, obviously you are not meant to be pregnant. It's fifteen year olds who haven't even started menstruating. She thinks she is grown. You know how she got the drugs? She used her momma's credit card. So someone please tell me how she will buy her baby's diapers and take him to the doctor??? Okay it's back on...

Well now, I have a few questions for that momma there. But she will be on next so I am sure Tyra will let her know. Lol. It's very unsettling. It's hard to understand. I would want to give my child everything, and have a nice wedding. I am 18 and I am ready to get married if that great guy comes along, but that may be another 2-5 years and I am in college, and have a job, even if I were to be engaged, the actual marriage might not happen for awhile. When I was 15 marriage was a nice dream, but not what I wanted just yet. Guys were still immature assholes for me, and I just can't wrap my finger around what people are thinking these days. I don't think they understand. I watched my mother struggle, and struggle to give me what she wanted for me...I don't want my family to struggle, and when you purposely get pregnant at 15, that's what you're doing. She says Jamie Lynne is her Idol. Jamie has MONEY. She can support that baby and look like it's a fab life but it's not!! Everyone said some little girl would come out thinking Jamie was amazing, and I didn't believe them, looks like I was wrong...Another Pause.

Awwww, there is always some underlying cause of why the little girls wants to be married. Take a guess, I'll give you a second to take 1 guess.......Finished? Well she feels upset that she has no friends, her father is missing, and she wants something of her own that she could love and hold. This is mental/psychological for me. I think when daddy is missing, or causes stress in the family, and if your daughter is feeling abandoned in school then you need to talk with her! I used to be the same way, but I opened my eyes. I still grew up, but I wasn't going to change my life with a baby. It's a sad thing, but single mothers can raise healthy kids. Just because daddy isn't there or not supportive like mines, it doesn't mean your daughter or you (if you're a child reading) has to go through the pain and struggle and wanting to get pregnant. When Tyra comes back she says whther or not this girl is pregnant. I feel like I'm making a synopsis lol. I think this is my favorite blog so far.

Alright well she is not pregnant, of course, lol. I hope she changes her mind. It's something totally different to have an accident, and become pregnant, but when you are TTC(Trying To Conceive) at 15, it's not...right. So now, I will wait for the next couple for me to rip apart. *Evil Laugh*

P.S. I do totally understand the world not letting you grow up, and it is frustrating, but you have to get over it because being young has restraints. You can't get a good job and honestly I am happy to be 18 and in college lmao. It's frustrating, but you have to occupy your time and do things that people your age are doing and live life...don't live it too hard though!!

Lol, the next girl, Kirsti was proposed to in Walmart, lmao. That's SOOO romantic. I would not mind a simple down on the knee but, please do not catch me in the grocery store, that's not cute nor creative. Do it in a restaurant, even my house, but in a walmart? That's not classy. I know people who would probably say it shouldn't matter, but I feel like Walmart is classless and childish. I try not to be a shallow person, but I want something creative and memorable, and if a guy proposed in the restaurant which is rather traditional, I would be happy. So I think that's pretty unshallow. Right? RIGHT!? Lol. I can't get over Walmart though...who does that???

Her boyfriend broke up with her twice for some other girl. Sure he apologized but obviously he is not ready to settle down. She is setting herself up to be heartbroken through constant cheating because when they're married, he can't say, "I want to break up with you." He'll end up sneaking around her back.

These couples seem very unsettled and though my heart goes out to the first one for many reasons; they were interracial, and felt ready and actually had a sense of maturity to them, the overall fact is life cannot be completed when young. The economy, the media, and your family does not allow for such things. I know I personally would not my daughter getting married at any age under 18, and if she is 18 she would have to be in college and keeping her ass there, either that or she better not be living in my house, that goes for a son too. *Ahem* So that's what rocked my world so early in the morning, it's about 1:00 AM now and I am just chillin' lol. I am also shocked how orderly everything is, and I wrote a conclusion! Some english teacher out there has got to be proud! Please comment on your ideas, or my ideas and thoughts on this subject.
